In this test, you will be presented with a series of scenarios faced during rounds with four patients. For each patient, there are four linked scenarios (i.e., four 'steps' during your visit), and at each step, you are asked to decide how best to respond to the situation presented. In total, there are therefore 16 'steps' to deal with (i.e., 4 steps with each of 4 patients).

For each patient there is 'summary' information provided about them. You should read the summary and then play the video of each step. Once you have played the video you should then indicate your two responses from the four options provided. Your task is to indicate one response you believe is MOST appropriate to take and one response you believe is LEAST appropriate to take based upon the summary and video.

You should assume that today you begin work as a locum nurse in a hospital. Your shift starts at 7:00am, seeing patients in 4 single-bed side rooms. To help you settle into the new environment you have been allocated around 15 minutes with each of these first 4 patients, before replacing a colleague in a large ward at 8:30am.
