What do Numerical Comprehension Tests assess?
Numerical Comprehension Tests are another crucial component of job application aptitude tests. Our numerical comprehension test is a psychometric assessment designed to provide insights into a candidate’s ability to understand, interpret, and analyse numerical data and mathematical information.
These tests are crafted to evaluate a candidate’s aptitude in working with numerical information, typically presented in the form of tables, charts, or graphs. Candidates need to draw accurate conclusions and make predictions or comparisons based on the given numerical data.
This test is highly relevant for roles that involve dealing with numbers, data analysis, or financial information. Typical roles that would utilise our numerical comprehension test are:
1. Financial Analyst Roles
2. Data Analyst Roles
3. Accounting Roles
Overview of the Numerical Comprehension Test
Our numerical comprehension test consists of 32 questions to be solved within a time frame of 16 minutes. The test comprises 8 unique sets of numerical data, each followed by 4 related questions.
The main objective is to interpret the numerical data correctly and answer the associated questions. You can acquaint yourself more with the nature of this test by attempting some practice questions.

How to excel in your Numerical Comprehension Test
To excel in this test and maximise your score, consider implementing the following strategies:
Analyse Tables, Graphs and Charts Carefully: When you see a graph or chart, take a moment to understand it. Pay attention to labels, axes, units, and trends.
Keep It Simple: These questions aim to test your ability to work with numbers efficiently, not to confuse you. If you're overthinking, step back. Often, a simple calculation or logical deduction is enough.
Manage Your Time: Plan your time wisely before the test. Allocate time per question based on the total test duration. Keep track of time to ensure you don't run out and have time for review.
