What does the Type Dimensions Profiler (TDP) assess?
Personality Tests offer a powerful way of assessing the motivations, behaviours, and preferences of individuals. Based on Carl Jung’s Psychological Types, our Type Dimensions Profiler is a psychometric assessment that determines the candidate’s personality type, identifying their preferences along 4 distinct dichotomies.
We utilise a system of 16 different personality Types and each of them is summarised below. The highly positive and constructive language of this tool makes it ideal for team development and coaching interventions.
Overview of the Type Dimensions Profiler (TDP) Personality Test
When taking the TDP individuals are presented with series of beginnings to a statement about their behaviours, characteristics, preferences, and motivations. Each statement (or stem) is then followed by 2 phrases that serve to finish the statement. Candidates are then invited to choose the 1 of the 2 phrases that completes the sentence in a way that best resembles them.
The TDP consists of a total of 60 items. Although our personality tests are untimed, candidates should expect to complete in approximately 7 minutes.

How to get an accurate TDP Report
To ensure an accurate representation of your personality in the results, it is worth considering the following:
- Read Carefully: Before starting the test, make sure to read all instructions and questions carefully to understand what is being asked.
- Honest Responses: Answer each question honestly based on your natural preferences rather than how you think you 'should' respond or how others expect you to behave.
- Don't Overthink: Go with your first instinct rather than overanalyzing each question. Your initial response is often the most accurate reflection of your personality.
- Set Aside Enough Time: Ensure you have enough uninterrupted time to complete the test. Rushing through the questions can lead to an inaccurate profile.
- Avoid External Influences: Complete the test in a quiet environment where you can focus without influence from others’ opinions or behavior.
- Reflect on Different Aspects of Your Life: While answering, think about how you behave in various aspects of your life, such as at work, at home, and in social situations.
- Re-evaluate if Necessary: If you feel that your results do not accurately represent you, don't hesitate to retake the test or reflect on your answers for potential biases.
- Use the Results Constructively: Remember that the purpose of the profile is for personal growth and understanding. Use the results to gain insights into your personality and interactions with others.
